Born Again Christian – Who Can Be Born Again Our first given example of becoming a born again Christian was a man named Nicodemus. It was a radical declaration when “born again” was first spoken by Jesus to this man. His story is in John where Jesus told Nicodemus, “ no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”. BORN Church believes that we are called first and foremost to the people here in the Bend of the River Neighborhood. We seek to pour the resources God gives us into helping others "have life and have it abundantly" (John ). We believe that the church doesn't exist solely within the walls of any building, but instead, that we take it with.

The first option looks to the context of Jesus' words dealing with being born "again" (). Nicodemus responds by mentioning the experience of being born from the womb (v. 4). Jesus then speaks of water and the Spirit and then says, "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born .   The Episcopal Church originates from the Church of England, which in turn originates from the Roman Catholic Church and the Protestant Reformation. The Episcopal Church was established as independent from the Church of England during the American Revolution. In fact, many of the founding fathers of the United States were actually Episcopalians.

The book of Acts tells of the Spirit descending on the disciples at Pentecost, empowering them to preach in other languages.

The Spirit also plays a key role in leading the church in its outreach. Paul's letters speak about the Spirit moving people to believe the gospel message. The Church is Born The Church had a form, from the very beginning.

In his book-length study Open to the Holy Spirit, Cardinal Donald Wuerl observes: Sometimes the Christian Pentecost is portrayed as a wild, anarchic event, producing a kind of cheerful chaos — a riot of movement with no discernible order.

Welcome to BORN Church, where faith meets outreach in Marion's Bend of the River Neighborhood. We're here to take risks for God and show His love to those right outside our walls.

The word is used throughout the Bible to refer to all those who have been born again (John ) through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus (Romans –10). The word church, when used to reference all believers everywhere, is synonymous with the term Body of Christ (Ephesians –23; Colossians ).

Pentecost has always been seen as the birth of the Church because of the events of Actsthe disciples did receive the Holy Spirit on the evening of the Resurrection (John ) but later were told to wait until the Holy Spirit came upon them in power (Acts ).He came on Pentecost, and the Church was born.

Pentecost is when the Christian church received, and was empowered to carry out, its grand assignment of evangelism. For this reason, Pentecost is sometimes referred to as the “birthday of the Christian church.” The mission given to Christians on Pentecost still stands, thousands of years later.

They believe the church began with Jesus Christ. A new thing is born that has never been known before. Something never seen in the Old Testament. Something promised in the New Testament, and even described in some measure by the Lord Himself who spoke of the church in the 16th chapter of Matthew.

But the church up to this point has been a mystery, something hidden about to be revealed. "Plantation Church is a significant contribution for theologians and students seeking to understand the development of black Christian communities.

Moreover, the book is truly international in its scope, demonstrating the necessity of treating transnationalism as characteristic of religious life in the Afro-Atlantic."-HNET.
